Moving to the Department of Chemistry

With the start of the new year, our group is moving from the Faculty of Production Engineering (FB 04) to the Department of Biology/Chemistry (FB 02) at the University of Bremen. After five years in an engineering environment, this is a move back to my roots in chemistry: from now on, I will work as an Independent Senior Scientist at the Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry.

I am very grateful to Lucio Colombi Ciacchi and his Hybrid Materials Interfaces group, who hosted me over the past years. The interdisciplinary environment of the Faculty of Production Engineering, the Bremen Center for Computational Materials Science and the MAPEX Center for Materials and Processes shaped my research in many ways, and I look forward to continuing our collaborations.

I would also like to thank Tim Neudecker, who will host me and my group at the Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry in the coming years. I am looking forward to new projects, students and ideas in chemistry.

Side note: Annelene Plump, Noah Felis and Philipp Diephaus are moving with us.
